Funny Bomb Kill (FBK) is looking for an Announcer — the off-screen voice of the show.
Think The Price Is Right. Think "previously on..." Think the comedic narrator on a reality show — the voice that hypes you up, cracks you up, and makes everything feel bigger than it already is.
That's the job.
People still know the Price Is Right voice decades later. That's the kind of voice we're after.
THE VOICE
The announcer isn't just reading names. The announcer is a character of the show — one of the big voices of the FBK ecosystem, right up there with the host and the lighting op.
You're the narrator, the hypeman, and the storyteller:
- —"Previously on FBK..." — the recap voice that opens episodes and reminds everybody what went down.
- —Walk-up announcements with hype — think wrestling announcers and sports announcers building a moment before it happens.
- —Sponsor reads that don't sound like sponsor reads.
- —Segment callouts, verdict announcements, and the recurring lines people start quoting back at us.
- —Comedic narration over the show — reality-show style. The voice that reacts to what just happened like it's watching along with you.
LIVE AND IN POST
This role splits two ways:
Some of it is live — during the show, announcing in real time, right in step with the host and the DJ.
A lot of it is post — the voiceovers, the previously-on recaps, the narration that gets layered onto the show after the fact. You'll record, cut, and help shape those moments with the crew.
Either way, you're landing moments, not just reading lines.
WHO WE WANT
Someone who:
- —Has a voice people want to keep hearing — and a delivery people remember.
- —Understands hype AND comedy. Reality-show narrator, sports announcer, wrestling hype — you know when to sell and when to wink.
- —Can nail their timing live, without panicking.
- —Can record clean voiceover in post.
- —Has their own style. We're not looking for a copy of somebody else's announcer.
- —Wants to help build a show from the ground up.
WE'RE AT THE BEGINNING
The voice of FBK doesn't exist yet. You'd be creating it.
Recurring lines, recurring moments, recurring bits — over time, the audience should hear two words and know exactly where they are. The announcer's lines become part of the show's language.
